Audit & Assurance
Audit support that removes the year-end scramble
Preparation, coordination and assurance work that make the statutory audit straightforward — clean schedules, answered queries, and no surprises when the auditors arrive.
The need
An audit is only difficult when the groundwork is missing
Most audit pain is preparation pain: schedules that do not tie back, balances nobody can explain, supporting documents scattered across inboxes. When the underlying records are complete and reconciled, the audit becomes a review rather than a reconstruction. We do the groundwork and manage the process with your appointed auditors.
What we handle
Audit readiness review
A pre-audit review of balances, schedules and supporting documentation before fieldwork begins.
Working papers & schedules
Preparation of the lead schedules, reconciliations and analyses auditors request.
Auditor liaison
We manage the query list and act as the point of contact throughout fieldwork.
Adjustment resolution
Review of proposed adjustments, so you understand and agree what changes and why.
Prior-year follow-up
Closing out management-letter points so the same findings do not recur.
Group & consolidation support
Support where a group, branch or parent reporting pack is involved.
Situations we are often called in for
- Your first statutory audit is approaching and you are unsure what will be asked for.
- Last year’s audit ran long and cost more than it should have.
- Your auditors keep raising the same management-letter points.
- A lender, investor or authority has asked for audited financial statements.
- You have changed auditors and need the transition handled cleanly.
Who it is for
Mainland and Free Zone companies, groups and SMEs that require an annual statutory audit and want the preparation handled professionally — and businesses that need assurance over specific balances or processes.
Our process
- Assess — review your records, the prior-year file and any outstanding points.
- Prepare — build the schedules, reconciliations and supporting document pack.
- Support — manage auditor queries through fieldwork and keep momentum.
- Close — agree adjustments and clear management-letter points properly.
Audit & Assurance FAQs
Do you perform the statutory audit itself?
The statutory audit opinion is issued by a licensed audit firm. AL TAMAYUZ prepares your business for that audit, produces the schedules and analyses required, and manages the process with your appointed auditors. Where you still need an auditor appointed, we can help you select one and coordinate the engagement.
How early should we start preparing?
Ideally a few weeks before year-end rather than after it. Early preparation is the single thing that most reliably keeps an audit short and its cost predictable.
What will you need from us?
Access to your accounting records, bank confirmations, significant contracts and any prior-year audit file. We tell you exactly what is needed, and we chase what is missing rather than waiting.
Can you help if our books are not ready?
Yes, though we will be straight with you about what that involves. In practice it is a bookkeeping catch-up first, then audit preparation. We would scope both honestly rather than promise a smooth audit on incomplete records.
